Tactile chess set
Tactile chess set (Blind in Mind / The Braille Store) — about $40 at blind specialty stores (Sharper Vision Store: $39.50) · flagged: an Amazon listing exists but showed “no featured offers” during our research, so no Amazon price or rating can be stated — this is a specialty-store purchase.
Fully tactile chess: raised squares, pegged pieces that are never knocked over, differently shaped pieces with a dot marking the white side, and braille plus raised-print coordinates — no braille knowledge needed, per the maker. The blind-buyer angle: you set up and play the entire game by touch, as a full equal, capture rows included.
